In this paper, Children's awkwardness and the aversion to science and engineering pose a problem in
recent years. Craftsmanship training is performed under such a situation, interest and concern are held, and
making the importance recognize has a big meaning for future our country. So, in the technical college, the
university, and the science museum, various activities are performed as part of the education activities to
science and technical education. Hiroshima National College of Maritime Technology has also so far
developed various activities. One of them is the teaching materials using a familiar kit introduced in this
paper. These teaching materials used the familiar thing for uninterested children, developed the teaching
materials which can moreover be manufactured in a short time, and carried them out by the lecture.
While environmental regulation becomes severe, the further development of environmental impact reduction technology is indispensable. Water scrubber processing have problem generated waste water after scrubber processing. Then theemulsified fuel using this waste water, this study clarified burning characteristics. Exhaust gas concentration is reduced waste water emulsified fuel better than water emulsion fuel. I think this is affected with a water particle diameter in the emulsified fuel. Fuel consumption has improved greatly by making miniaturization of water particle diameter (1 μm or less)
Moreover, the relation of NOx concentration and fuel consumption is generated trade-off by water particle diameter.
In learning the issue of vibration, it is important to know the essence of the various problems in resonance, natural frequency, natural vibration mode, and so on. However, it is really very hard to understand these
phenomena. So, we started to develop the experimental equipment for the purpose of observing the vibration of mechanical systems, especially paying attention to resonance and natural vibration mode.
In a previous study, the shaking device was directly included in the experimental equipment. In the future, however, a shaking device with the versatility will be necessary for the development of the various teaching materials. So, in this study, the horizontal shaking table was made at first. Then a three-storey structure was developed as an example of the experimental equipment for the shaking table.
By using this apparatus, we clearly observed the primary, secondary and tertiary resonances and natural vibration modes.
In recent years, studies to improve packing have been approached from various points. It is of much importance to design reliable transportation packing so as to protect the freight from impacts and vibrations.
In the commercial districts of the urban area where streets are narrow or congested, transportation by a hand-cart is often seen. The time on a cart is shorter than that of truck transportation, however, when impacts and vibrations on a cart is outstanding, better packing design is required.
For this purpose, the vibrations on cart transportation were measured on different road surfaces and the damage ratio was evaluated, in comparison with the vibration environment during trucking. The findings that have been gained are as follows:
(1) It is clear that the vibration energy of cart transportation is large on concrete road surface and small on asphalt surface.
(2) The damage ratio in cart transportation on concrete surface and that in trucking are at almost same level. It cannot be ignored for transportation packing.
When we carry out experience sailing, or open the training ship “Hiroshima-maru” to public safely, we have asked participants to pay attention when they got on the ship, or increased the number of security guards. However, we have been concerning whether our measures were good enough or not.
So we launched “Hiroshima-maru Safety Project” in order to examine the security of the students and the crew members in opening the Hiroshima-maru to public, experience sailing, and navigation training. In the HSP, we have a discussion on the security measures in the ship at least once in a month in addition to the pre-operation meetings which we have every morning.
We will report the HSP by giving examples.
Our graduated students have mainly worked for the sea transportation industry, which expects to employ not only those who have acquired knowledge and skill of maritime technology but also those who have management skill in a ship and will to obtain higher qualifications. In the training ship “HIROSHIMA MARU,” we are trying to improve acurriculum of the training ship education, expecting students to be able to judge, think and act by themselves. In the “HIROSHIMA MARU,” we conducted a survey after the training in order to know whether the curriculum worked well and improve the present education. In this paper, we aimed to develop a curriculum of the training ship education by analyzing a survey we had conducted, finding problems, and solving them.
The authors proposed in the previous report to share one large training ship among three Maritime Colleges located in Seto Inland Sea. The authors also proposed to use the 20 GT high speed boats that each College owns at the moment to support the operation of the large training ship. The port to berth the large training ship should be selected from among the candidate ports those conveniently located for each College.
Each College has its own berthing facilities for the training ship they have, however, the facilities are only for smaller ships. The authors surveyed the ports in Seto Inland Sea capable of berthing a large training ship including the four ports of Hiroshima-Ujina, Kure, Mihara-Itozaki and Imabari those summarized in the previous report, and report the consideration on the problems for the large training ship to use the facilities at the neighboring ports.
In 2012, our school has introduced a moral education as a new curriculum, and offered a class of new moral education.
In this paper, we conducted a questionnaire survey of normative consciousness in the first day of the moral lesson in 2013, and we also reported the results of the questionnaire about the normative consciousness of the same age other college. As a result, there were few students of an item having a strong model awareness of our school, and there were many students of the item where model awareness waslow. (Both are 3th out of 4)
